Frequently Asked Questions
What platforms does DomainLens support?
DomainLens is currently available on Windows via the Microsoft Store. macOS, Android, and iOS versions are coming soon.
Does DomainLens collect my data?
No. All scans run locally on your device. No data is sent to our servers — we don't operate any backend servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Is the app free?
Yes. DomainLens is free to download and use. All 20 scanning services are included at no cost.
Why are some scan results incomplete?
Some third-party APIs may rate-limit requests or temporarily be unavailable. Try scanning again after a few minutes. The NVD API in particular can be slow during peak hours.
Can I scan any domain?
You can scan any publicly accessible domain. The app queries public DNS, WHOIS, certificate transparency, and vulnerability databases — the same data available to anyone on the internet.
Where can I see the full list of checks DomainLens performs?
See the Technical Details page for a full category-by-category breakdown of scan coverage, report outputs, and non-sensitive design scope.
How do I export scan results?
After a scan completes, go to the Export tab. Choose from six formats: AI Prompt, JSON, CSV, Markdown, HTML, or Plain Text. The file is saved directly to your device.
How do I change the theme?
Tap the ⚙️ gear icon on the Overview tab. Select from seven themes: Cyber, Matrix, Midnight, Sunset, Arctic, Stealth, or Accessible (WCAG 2.1 compliant).
Is DomainLens open source?
Yes. The source code is available on GitHub.
